What makes the COBRA different?

The clever part isn't simply that it's strong.

The locking mechanism is designed so that both release clips have to be depressed simultaneously. AustriAlpin says one-sided opening is essentially prevented, and the buckle produces an audible click when properly locked.

That's a big deal for a working-dog collar.

Imagine a dog pulling against something, getting caught on equipment, or somebody grabbing the collar from one side. A conventional quick-release buckle can potentially be vulnerable to accidental manipulation. The COBRA's design makes that considerably more difficult.
